BEERS ON TAP

Modern American hoppy beers share almost no resemblance to the historical British IPA style. We believe that beer style names should be descriptive of what’s being brewed, and should not invoke a disgraceful and painful colonial past, so we use language that clearly communicates the current drinking experience of our beers, rather than that of their obscure stylistic antecedents. Our “hoppy ales” or “hazy and juicy ales” are stylistically similar (in flavor/aroma profile, recipe, brewing process) to beers associated with the IPA styles - your beertenders will be happy to give you recommendations and walk you through what’s on tap!

Blonde Ale: Aromas of bread dough with subtle floral & melon notes, soft, crackery malt flavor with hints of melon & lemon peel, and a clean finish.

Sour Ale w/ NY Concord Grapes: Aromas of concord grape, which continues through the ripe flavor. Modest body & mildly tart, with a dry finish. Halfway between Welch’s and a dry Lambrusco.

English-Style Best Bitter: Bready aromas with faint toffee & floral hop notes. Modest body showcasing biscuit malt flavors with hints of caramel & orange marmalade. Dry finish with a slight herbal hop bitterness.

Table Hazy Ale: Aromas of mango & dank citrus over a straw-colored haze, revealing hop flavors of peach, lychee, tangerine & a hint of coconut, with a soft finish.

Hazy Pale Ale: Fresh floral aromas with citrus and melon notes. A modest body carries flavors of sweet orange blossom and ripe cantaloupe, finishing dry with lingering hints of tropical fruit.

Smoke on the Lauter | abv 3.7% | 12 oz. pour | $8.00

Lichtenhainer-Style Smoked Sour Ale: this limited edition smoked sour brewed in collaboration with Rare Form Brewing Company has aromas of candied lemon peel, bread dough, and a faint whiff of smoke. Bright flavors of citrus over water cracker malt. Tart up front, rounded out to a dry finish from the subtle, yet firm smoke character.
