Line Cook

Bound by Fate Brewing is hiring! We are a family owned and operated NYS Farm Brewery, located in the historic village of Schuylerville, NY. As we prepare to enter our busy holiday season, we are in need of a line cook to work dinner service Thursday-Monday. You will work alongside our amazing team BOH/FOH.

For the Line Cook position job functions and responsibilities include:

  • Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

  • Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary mise en place

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food

  • Stock inventory appropriately

  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

The Line Cook position expectations and qualifications include: 

  • Two years experience working in a professional kitchen is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.

  • A team-player capable of multitasking while working under pressure

  • Work quickly, cleanly, and efficiently and in an organized set up

  • Be able to receive constructive feedback and have a willingness to learn

  • Possess a great work ethic

  • Efficient and effective communication

  • High standard of commitment to quality

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with staff and guests
